Every Autechre release under the sun!!

They're finally touring Australia (skipping Brisbane, of course, but that's not gonna stop me from seeing them). The only time they've ever come out was fifteen years ago to do a one-off gig in Melbourne to celebrate Warp getting distro through Mushroom. Bout bloody time they made their way back!! So excited

Well the usual dose of Ambient/Electronica is on the rider here at Psychonavigation HQ

Just dug out this old album from FZV 'Precedent' http://www.discogs.com/FZV-Precedent/release/258217

I wonder is Richard still producing tunes?

Cheers himog but went for this mainly

Almost all of the afro-Cuban music in this compilation fell under the new marketing category ‘salsa’ (up till then it would have been simply called Latin music), and its cradle was New York City, where the tradition flourished amidst the constant mix of ethnicities and so many styles of music.

(But not quite as diverse as the quote makes it sound).

Aural Rage - A Nature of Nonsense

Danny Hyde's solo record, astounding stuff! Obviously sounds quite a bit like Coil but his insanity seems to be of a decidedly more humourous bent than theirs :) Some stunning sound design and wonderful guest appearances by Jhonn and Sleaz too.

As One - Reflections on Reflections

This may be a bit iffy to bring up based on the recent WATMM tBd tape leak and the stupid Dust bashing that's been going down there (sorry lads!), but I absolutely *love* the Plaid remix of Shambala. Lush! Highly recommended.

We have no problem with Plaid, spoke to them Friday Hoppy :) & Kirk is a good friend of ours.

yeah, it's up to you what you listen to, Hoppy. plaid don't exactly figure prominently in my playlist,
but i personally don't have any problems with them. the playground pissing of their fans is a little
dull. but we have all got better things to be doing than getting sucked down into a Grimpen Mire.

Welcome to the forum.

Hey Ken/Martin, I don't doubt for a minute you guys are cool with Plaid and Kirk (glad to hear it!)-- I just didn't want to end up dredging all that dullness up again with my Plaid recommendation. Martin, if you're speaking to them again how about telling them to nudge Warp on the release of Scinitilli release ;-) Anyways, moving on ...

Thanks for the welcome Ken, been a lurker on tBd forum since the 90s (that reminds me, where's all the numerology and egyptology stuff gone), only signed up recently. Glad to see the forum is lively these days.

No worries at all, I'll mention it to Andy next time we speak :)

We have all that stored, we haven't had time to even design a skin for this forum but it is something we'll be revisiting when there's more time, perhaps building on some of the ideas.
