I'm STILL listening to Warp Riders! It's like musical crack! I don't think it has left my car's CD player in a month.

It's been Swimmer One on the headphones this week. Hadn't heard anything since the single 'We make music for ourselves' in 2002.

Nick Drake! I can't believe how good 'River Man' is.... Absolutely gorgeous, and with a killer string arrangement

cheers for the tip, Aaron. enjoyed listening to it while chopping wood (wielding my axe. lol.)
enjoyed the drumming a lot. he's good (imho). the vocal delivery didn't piss me off, and the
technical bits weren't too twiddly (for my taste). not sure i get the sci-fi concept. but enjoyed
it all the same.

i'd love to get a decent cassette deck and do digital backup/restoration on the files. i'd have to start with my high school goth band "from beyond", and our 1989 demo "despair". ;)

I also thought this until I listened to The Discontinued 1976, my dad's garage :) I rarely listen to old recordings.

was it that bad? ;) i haven't listened to my demo in years and years. it was recorded on a dodgy 4 track cassette recorder/mixer. my dad still has a cassette copy, but nothing to play it on!

That's an Akai AX80 in the background!!!

I used to have one of those - years ago. I really regret selling it, used to get some amazing sounds out if it!

Klaus Schulze. Dismissed it as "hippy rubbish" back in the days of punk. trying to revisit it, and see if there are any pearls in there. Most of what i've heard so far, has been rather dull. Anybody got some "must listens" ?? Looking at his discography, he's got about 80 albums out. And i figure they can't be all "pants". Or are they?
