Plan to host a PvP Arena in NWN

Hello again guys!
I do hope I catch the attention of some of you!
You all should have no trouble remembering me I hope... I was Vanilla Num.

First, and lets get that out of the way, you all knew me when I was 15 yr old. I am now 24, I got a stable job and go to University.
I currently host a PW in NWN1, an action roleplay Nordock style server.
This server is almost reaching its ONE YEAR anniversary.

I have a friend on my server who is hosting our test server, however it is almost NEVER used. Its been like this for a year almost.
I plan to convert it in a full time PvP Arena similar to Circus Maximus.

I use strictly Facebook to interact with my NWN1 community from my servers. So It would be important to see you join the group. Maybe some of us can even add each other as friends. But that is not required, joining the group is good enough ^_^

sorry to hear that. how's the nordock server doing? i guess a lot of people will still play NWN at home, as there are a ton of modules for it. but there have been a lot of games competing for online attention since then. Did NWN2 ever take off?

dont think so ken, considering they made it you cant download the modules straight from the server.. unless they changed that i dont see why anyone would really bother playing it online.

alien swarm had the same issue, made it perfect for people to make their own maps and stuff for it, but without the ability to download straight from the server and having to go to a random website to download mods/maps only to play them online is why the game is sort of dead now.

sozz tommy. by modules, i meant the bonus/extra addon stories/campaigns that bioware wrote. i guess there is still a ton of good content for NWN, so the game will never really die, or get old. online though, graphics have got a lot better, so i can see there will be lots of other games competing for (y)our time.

but yeah, i can see how downloading mods from another server would lead some people not to bother. the toolset for NWN2 was a pig to use, as well. it didn't really lend itself to putting up a core idea, and expanding on it as you went along.

oh if you mean it like that then i dont really know, ive been told by alot of people that the NWN2 core campaign gets pretty good but my god by the time i get to neverwinter im so disapointed in the game i cant go on.

also the first expansion (mask of betrayal or whatever) is apparently really good too

me and borb tried the 2nd expansion too (storm of zehir) it seemed ok and i guess i would actually play it. we died immediately and such and never got round to playing it again however :/

maybe me eph and borb will give NWN2 a shot after BG2, was talking to them about it and they seemed like theyd be up for the idea

Keeping everyone updated.

Kendo will send me the module circus maximus sometime next month I believe.
When I receive it, I hope to be ready to host it without any delay.

Then a process of continual updates will begin and hopefully new people from the nwn community will join and help shape its future.

Until Ken send me the module, u don't plan on hosting any alternative since that would disappoint me.

also rules need to be changed to original CM rules, 70k cap, +5 on items etc

seems ok tho, no bugfix doll tho also since i dont have any of my char saves i dont have any of the keys to my house but yeah
