gone solo, SKPR label dead.

without a doubt, the most stressful 2 years of my life so far.

a brief random summary for nosey people -

no money.
artists getting snarky cause they think there is in fact loads of money.
fake friends on the internet.
fake corpo bullshit with online shops over tiny sums of money.
targets.
hate mail from people on the internet that miraculously know you better than you do.
fake friends wanting jobs for free.
bedroom jokers.
the internet.

but ANYWAY,

i'm still kicking it, and enjoying the freedom again. most of my back cat is on bandcamp at the moment, and you can still buy through beatport etc aswell.

shouts to anyone around here that isn't a fake fuckwitt.

cheers,

nick

Don't give up - the muses look kindly on those with persistence. ;)

Sorry to hear it's been such a nightmare Nick... I enjoyed the SKPR stuff I heard.

As Tim says, out of the ashes and all that.

It sounds like you're keeping on keeping on... which is good cos the last couple of tracks I heard on Soundcloud were great.

Cheers guys... just been getting all my shit together over the past week and feeling pretty positive. :)

The feeling of freedom is immense, i didn't check my email there for almost a month and just played computer games.... it's been a loooong time since i just cut loose and had some me time like that.

Cheers again for the supportive comments. :)

Glad the vibe is positive, sometimes you have to take a break... good to come back revitalized.

Hi Nick. If the path you're on has no heart, there is no shame at all in dropping it.
hoping you can chill out, kick back, regroup, and come back stronger.

something in my head went *ding* when i read that.... i'm just not "feeling" it anymore, so i cannot continue banging out tracks till the cows come home just to satisfy some hipster's fantasy numbers.

i do, however, love writing music so pretty much have to keep going with my own stuff. just driven to create and all that...

cheers for dropping in a comment ken.

you're welcome, Nick. nothing harder than trying to make something out of nothing. and i fully appreciate the incredible stress of trying to keep everything together, when people are pulling in different directions. people's expectations are a heavy burden, and for your own sanity, you have to take the rucksack off, occasionally.

enjoy your gaming time.

Sad to hear label didn't work out but sounds like you have the right attitude about it... good luck with doing your own thing!
