3 months of mixing? Crikey, that's a bit Peter Gabriel! ;)

Seriously, good luck... where are you mixing? (and don't say Real World!) :)

All about the detail, and we'd spend more time doing if we had it :) All the mixing is done in our new Sheffield studio.

Personally I'm all about it, but the flip side being... my mate and i might have had a couple of albums ready before i left for the states!

I'm all for pix of the new studio if you're up for it?!

Not keen, Computer Music wanted to film last month, with us doing some kind of lessons but we turned it down as it's just not interesting enough, kinda reminds me of clubbing photo's - when you've seen one fluffy bra you've seen them all.

Sure, I can understand it but mags like Future Music are just the same magazine over and over, Rich gets a couple of them and it's like they are stuck in time, nothing has changed in like 20 years.

The "Variations for a door" is a set of 25 variations describing various moods and emotions using mainly only the effect of a door creaking. The sounds are all manipulated using magnetic tape editing and speed manipulations. The work is a brilliant piece of sound engineering, but you will have to be a "music concrete" boffin to be able to appreciate it.

I don't agree that you will have to be a boffin.
All you need is a sense of humour.
This album cracks me up.
fantastic!

Played it to my friend, and now he's enjoying the musicality of his front gate.
(which he hadn't noticed before).

I am listening to RinseFM a lot these days... learned to appreciate Funky House, and am always happy to hear really really sappy 4x4 bassline...

Aside from that, two talented jazz musicians move into my apartment so I am lucky to have live music coming out of my kitchen every day.
