Shameless plug alert ;)

An old friend of mine teamed up with a South African writer to make an album of moody atmospheric music set to his writings, I think it turned out really nice.

Limited to 100 copies, sample track here: http://soundcloud.com/redloz/redloz-fea ... -cape-town

Get it while its hot!

nah, don't blame yourself.. it's the middle of summer. with the most sunshine ever seen for approximately 4 years. one of the hottest recorded, since the drought of 1976. i suspect most people are out there enjoying it. hope you have been too.

Hi Ken, yeah I know :)
Actually I'm not a big sun/heat lover...spent most of my time sweltering in my flat. It's a lot cooler now thank goodness.

Giving it a good couple of weeks to go through the discs, but so far it's a nice collection. There's usually something interesting going on on-stage, although it does feel like looking through a window. Lots of live mantra stuff that never got to cd.

so I'm happy.

"Arcane science of temporal exploration,
Known to noone of his kind!
Immortality through artificial transformation,
To rule a world that soon will die."

Excerpt from The Chronomancer I: Hubris

The whole album is a modern take on classic 70's metal/hard rock that sounds like a mix between Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath, but instead of making an album right off the bat, they decided to roll a joint and invite J. R. R. Tolken and Arthur C. Clark over to join them in their musical adventure. I've probably listened to it at least 30 times since I grabbed a torrent a couple weeks ago an bought the album today after it came out on Tuesday. In fact, I think I am going to go listen to it again, that is if I don't go deaf in the process.

Dang Youtube and its inferior play quality; the sonic ecstasy of the full quality recording is almost indescribable. Oh, and they are releasing it in vinyl ;)
