Dubs: Volume 4 – Suburbia – Out 01.07.22

The fourth EP in the limited edition Dubs series is nearly here, available once again as a very special limited edition package containing a 12″ vinyl record, full-colour sleeve, 28-page booklet, pin badge, postcard and free downloads. “I don’t know what it is about textures and the mundane of late, but it has become an obsession. I’m not sure if it’s me trying to hold onto the past or document things that would only interest a few people – it’s puzzling.

That said, there is a certain beauty to the proximity of history hiding in plain sight, the visual documentation of ideas past and present just waiting to be seen. Perhaps I stand alone with this interest? So much of our history is lost, knocked down and then backfilled, waiting to be found again. The only trouble is that history is already lost and then left to the best guess of what was what, seems odd in this day and age that should be the case but I’m finding that often it is.

The future pushes on to the next page and the words are lost in the reach for something else.”

Live In Barcelona 25/03/2022 – Out Now

Recorded live in Barcelona, this album provides a journey through our work from the last 18 months, taking cues from the Dubs, Music For Photographers and Brutalism projects. The music and the visuals of the live performance document the brutalist architecture, found at home and in the locations we visit, while also reflecting its place within the landscape and our lives.

Using original photography, this live AV show developed the visuals using artificial intelligence and neural networks to create new constructions, worlds and visions for a version of a future just over the page.

The Black Dog and Amoeba Design are working together to realise a series of art projects for live events and gallery installations, all under the banner of My Brutal Life, an ongoing series of projects encompassing music, photography, books, exhibitions, 360 audio-visual events and live performances.

This live performance marks the end of the first year in developing this body of work.
