The fourth EP in the limited edition Dubs series is nearly here, available once again as a very special limited edition package containing a 12″ vinyl record, full-colour sleeve, 28-page booklet, pin badge, postcard and free downloads. “I don’t know what it is about textures and the mundane of late, but it has become an obsession. I’m not sure if it’s me trying to hold onto the past or document things that would only interest a few people – it’s puzzling.

That said, there is a certain beauty to the proximity of history hiding in plain sight, the visual documentation of ideas past and present just waiting to be seen. Perhaps I stand alone with this interest? So much of our history is lost, knocked down and then backfilled, waiting to be found again. The only trouble is that history is already lost and then left to the best guess of what was what, seems odd in this day and age that should be the case but I’m finding that often it is.

The future pushes on to the next page and the words are lost in the reach for something else.”

Our Brutal projects continue with the release of Dubs Volume 2: Brutal; where our studio machinations cross over into our obsessions with Béton Brut, modernism and minimalism. This release is a result of that collision.

Four tracks for angular futurism that was always promised but never delivered. The future we’re told is always on the next page, inaccessible to the proles, but that’s never stopped us conjuring up music for the congregation.

The first EP of our new series “Dubs” is out now.

“Dubs” is a project that we’d talked about for a couple of years but never really had the time to focus on, as it required a lot of research and leg work to put together. We eventually started in January of 2020 but little did we know what would be happening by March.

“Dubs” deals with our history in Sheffield and The Black Dog, sometimes literal and sometimes not. Come with us on a journey through music, photography and words, as we try to explain our relationship with Sheffield in the best way we can.

4 of our strongest tracks to date that take in all our favourite flavours:
Concrete, Glass, Steel and Dirt.
